CDriveBack: appliance advantages

CDriveBack is an 'Appliance'

CDriveBack is an appliance:  CDriveBack only backs up and restores information on hard drives, normal, SATA, RAID, Linux, Windows and other drive formats.

Since CDriveBack  is focused,

  1. We can arrange for easy to use screens for backing up and restoring.

  2. CDriveBack can be smaller, faster to download, to boot, and to use as it does not:

    1. Do Word Processing or Office Chores

    2. Browse the net

    3. Play games

    4. Teach you Linux

    5. and CDriveBack does not have a lot of other things that waste space and your time.

Appliances are less threatening to end users:

If you are tech-familiar you have already  told people, "Get some backup software and do your backups.  Here's a list of products to buy, install, and use."

Then perhaps you were mildly miffed  when they did nothing.  You were miffed, sadly amused, and felt justified when their hard drive crashed and they lost all their work and had to buy yet another Windows.

There were two problems with what you said, not that you had any better alternative before CDriveBack:

  1. Buy
  2. Install
To a user already confused with too much software and too little training, not to mention the Windows Wilderness of menus and panels for system management, buying and installing, adding  more crappy software to a Windows that is already screwing up seems like a very bad idea.

The Alternative

  1. Burn them a copy of CDriveBack,
  2. Be nice, Print the GIF label for the CD,
  3. Hand them a copy,
  4. Say, "Boot this for backup.  If you like it, backup your effing hard drive!
  5. Then apologize for yelling.
